Description: In this 90 minute recorded training, Coaches will explore the structure of goal setting, and how to use it to support clients in promoting sustainable behavior change. Coaches will learn how to clearly define and articulate the client's long term vision, and how to set smaller goals that the coach and client can see as milestones and goal posts in their work.

 

Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, coaches will be able to:

  • Use the coaching conversation to identify client goals according to a staged framework to promote sustainable success for the client

  • Use the coaching conversation to enlist client participation in identifying realistic milestones and timelines

  • Organize SMART goals are strategic steps in the client's commitment to their overall goal.

About the Trainer:

Megan Murk, NBC-HWC, is a skilled Health and Wellness Coach & Educator who has a passion for training and mentoring future health and wellness coaches. Megan earned a BA degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in Integrative Health Studies with a Certificate in Health Coaching & Wellness Management. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in coaching individuals, training and supervising coaches, and building coach teams.

 

Megan passed the inaugural National Board Certification exam for Health and Wellness Coaches in 2017 and also served as an approved mentor for the National Board for the Credentialing of Health & Wellness Coaches (NBHWC) beginning in 2016 and is currently based in San Francisco, California.
